Schola Pacifica was founded in 1993 by Br. Karl Nielson, OSB, to perform and keep alive the tradition of Gregorian chant. The men of Schola Pacifica are an ecumenical group of the finest choral singers in San Diego. We come together from many religious backgrounds (Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish) with a love of singing as our common denominator. Since our founding, we have sung throughout California and the Pacific Northwest to popular acclaim in venues such as the Capistrano Valley Symphony, Mt. St Mary's College (Los Angeles), Mission San Juan Capistrano, and Mt. Angel Abbey, Oregon.
