Literature Resource Center - Provides access to biographies, bibliographies and critical analysis of authors from every age and literary discipline. It includes excerpts from English language books and periodicals only.

MLA Bibliography - MLA (Modern Language Abstracts) lists journal articles and a variety of other types of materials on literature, languages, linguistics and folklore.

Clase and Periodica - Index of Latin American journals in the sciences and humanities. Contains information from articles, essays, book reviews, monographs, conference proceedings, technical reports, interviews and brief notes published in journals edited in 24 different countries of Latin America and the Caribbean , as well as from publications that focus on Pan-American issues.

HAPI - Hispanic American Periodicals Index   - Index to journal articles, book reviews, original literary works and other materials. Covers Central and South America , Mexico , the Caribbean basin, the United States-Mexico border region, and Hispanics in the United States . From 1970 to present.

JSTOR - A full-text, searchable archive of core scholarly journals. Current issues are not available on JSTOR. Read these JSTOR Search Tips.

WorldCat - Bibliographic database containing approximately 40 million records. Includes books, films, music scores, and many other types of materials. Not a journal index. Very useful for filling out ILL Book Request Form Electronically .

You can start your research there via Google or any other search engine, but keep in mind that there are over 5 billion webpages on the Internet and much of what you will find is not academic not does it provide information that can be independently verified. It is always better to use a selective web directory to identify those which are academic, scholarly, or can be independently verified.
