  • DevGen - located in Belgium, it is devoted exclusively to studying C. elegans to identify new drug targets for human diseases.
  • EleGene AG - a privately-owned, venture capital-financed, professional research company located on the Biotech campus of Muenchen-Martinsried, Germany.
  • EXELIXIS - located in South San Francisco, its name is Greek for Evolution. The company is using a variety of model organisms, including C. elegans, for drug target discovery.
  • Axys Pharmaceuticals - bought NemaPharm, the original C. elegans-based company, and moved it from Boston to South San Francisco.
