UCSD Medical School 1998

UCSD this year greatly increased its efforts in the admission process. It increased the number of of applicants offered second-round applications, and therefore considered for an admission interview, from 1,000 in prior years to 2,000 this year. It also sped up its interview and acceptance calender and increased the number of scholarships it awarded. These measures benefited all applicants and resulted in an increase in Black/Hispanic enrollment.
