8. Course Methodology
 

Classes will comprise a combination of lecture and discussion. The Class will be divided into groups for the purpose of stimulating discussion on issues, case briefs and problems.

8.1 Case Brief and Problem Analysis

For the purpose of writing a case brief or solving a problem your analysis may be organized as follows:

1. Case title, jurisdiction, year; the parties to a potential action;

2. Material facts;

3. Issues or questions the case/problem raises;

4. Statement of the law;

5. Reasoning or application of law to fact situation;

6. Your evaluation of the decision/problem.
