Jean-Pierre (J.P.) Amor is Associate Professor of Decision Sciences in the School of Business Administration at the University of San Diego (USD). He received his Ph.D. in Management from the Anderson School at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). During his prior career with the U.S. Air Force, Colonel Amor was commander/director of a high technology laboratory, which managed research and development projects associated with the Strategic Defense Initiative. While in the Air Force, Dr. Amor also planned and analyzed military operations while stationed at the Pentagon, at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and in Vietnam. At USD, he teaches courses in Management Science and in Operations Management. His current research interests include project management, work in the 21st century, and complexity issues in organizations.
