I am an associate professor of philosophy at Northwest Nazarene University.
My research interests lie primarily in the intersection of metaphysics, free will and moral responsibility, and philosophy of religion.
I teach a range of courses on metaphysics, philosophy of religion, ethics, and the history of philosophy.
I have published a number of papers on the metaphysics of free will, culminating in a book entitled
Free Will: Sourcehood and Its Alternatives. I also recently edited two collections in the philosophy of religion for Routledge:
Arguing about Religion and Metaphysics and God.
During the summer of 2009, I took part in an an
NEH Summer Institute on experimental philosophy. These days, I'm thinking quite a bit about virtues and the moral implications of ignorance.
