Author: Godfrey of PoitiersParis, c. 1210 - 1215
Date: According to Landgraf, Godfrey was a student of Stephan Langton and copied the Summa of Robert Courson. P. Anciaux has dated the Summa of Godfrey between 1213 and 1215 based on internal evidence. The Summa refers to Robert Courson as cardinal, a post he attained in 1213, yet the Summa makes no references to the legislation of Lateran IV. O. Lottin dated the Questiones as earlier than the Summa but after the Questiones of Stephan Langton upon which they depend. Godfrey was with William of Auxerre in Rome in 1231 as part of the Parisian delegation.
