Author: John Pagus Paris, c. 1240/2 - 1245

Dating: According to Schneider, John was "the oldest teacher of logic in the University of Paris in the first half of the thirteenth century." A letter of introduction from Gregory IX to Louis IX dated 1231 describes John as "magister" together with William of Auxerre and Godfrey of Poitiers. He was a batchelor of theology in Paris c. 1240/2 - 1245

Super sententias: According to Johnnes Gründel, Pagus' commentary on the Sentences exists in two manuscripts. Paris, Bibliothèque nationale, nat.lat. 15652 f.97-106 is a reportatio. Padua, Biblioteca Antoniana. 139 is a corrected and enlarged edition of the commentary. Gründel describes and compares the content of both manuscripts.
