Author: John Pecham, O.F.M.

Dating: Pecham studied arts in both Oxford and Paris. He joined the Franciscans in the late 1250's, becoming a master of theology in Paris in 1269. He was regent master there from 1269-72. From 1272 until 1275, Pecham was master at Oxford. In 1275, he became minister provincial of the English province. Pecham was lector for the Papal curia from 1277-1279 at which time he was elected Archbishop of Canterbury. Pecham died in 1292.
