Author: Robert Bacon, O.P.
Dating: Robert was the first Dominican master at Oxford, c. 1234-8. He was a student of John of Abbeville under whom he commented on the Psalms. Robert was a friend of Grosseteste and a promoter of the canonization of Edward of Abingdon.
