Author: Thomas Gallus (d. 1246)
Dating: Thomas was an Augustinian canon and member of St. Victor's in Paris. He left Paris for the Victorine house of St. Andre in Verceil in 1219. He became prior of that house in 1224 and abbot in 1225. In 1243 he was exiled from Verceil due to imperial politics. He died in 1246.
