Travel Information:

 

By plane: The San Diego International airport is approximately 6 miles from the university (about a 10 minute drive).  Information about flights, timetables, directions, terminals, ground transportation, weather, etc. can be found at http://www.san.org/ (619.686.8065).

 

The John Wayne airport in Orange County is approximately 84 miles from USD (about a two hour drive).  Information can be found at http://www.ocair.com/.

 

The Los Angeles International Airport is approximately 120 miles (about two and a half hours) from USD.  Information can be found at http://www.los-angeles-lax.com/.

Cloud 9 Shuttle: 800.974.8885 to get to the University of San Diego - it is a 10 minute ride from the airport to the campus. Online reservations at Cloud 9 Shuttle- cloud9shuttle.com - $11 to $13 fare.

By train: Participants may prefer to ride the train down to San Diego.  Train information can be found at: http://www.amtrak.com. 

The train station is in downtown San Diego, next-door to a trolley station. 

 

Driving Directions:                 

From the North: Use I-5 South, exit Sea World Dr. & Tecolote Rd. and proceed left at stoplight toward Morena Blvd. Turn right on Morena, left on Napa, and left on Linda Vista Rd. Travel to the second stoplight to USD’s East entrance, turn left and enter campus.  Turn right at the guard shack, follow the road down the hill through the stop sign.  Continue until you reach the cul-de-sac and Mission Crossroads.

From the South (or the airport): Use I-5 North, exit Morena Blvd. (signs will say: Morena Blvd. use I-8 East) Stay to the right and follow the signs for Morena Blvd. Take the first right onto Linda Vista Rd. Travel to the third stoplight to USD’s East entrance, turn left and enter campus.  .  Turn right at the guard shack, follow the road down the hill through the stop sign.  Continue until you reach the cul-de-sac and Mission Crossroads.

From the East: Use I-8 West, exit at Morena Blvd., go right onto Linda Vista Rd. and travel to the third stoplight to USD’s East entrance, turn left and enter campus.  .  Turn right at the guard shack, follow the road down the hill through the stop sign.  Continue until you reach the cul-de-sac and Mission Crossroads.

Getting Around San Diego: There is a trolley station (Morena/Lindavista) very close to the university (see the San Diego trolley list of stations: http://www.sdcommute.com/Rider_Information/trolley/trolleystations.asp).
