35 and read about the quotient-remainder theorem. How is the quotient-remainder theorem
involved in long division?

What are some
ideas that become important when progression from performing long division with
a one digit division to a two digit divisor?

Describe the
teaching sequence for teaching long division.
·
Why is it
important to have definitions?
·
What is a
theorem? A lemma?
·
What is needed to
prove a theorem?
·
What is the
product of an even number and an odd number?
Justify your answer.

Homework set 15: problems 1-4.

Homework set 19: problems 2,4,5 (some of these
problems are done using the same sort of diagrams we used to prove properties).
