We have a large, six-shelf cabinet that is used to store commercial and group-made fine chemicals (i.e. not bulk solvents, etc.) that are stable under standard conditions. The cabinet is organized alphabetically from the top shelf down for commercially purchased chemicals. Group-made chemicals are stored, below the commercial compounds, in stacks according to project.

Note 1: All group-made compounds must be stored in appropriate containers that are fully labeled on the container (not the lid) with: 1. the lab notebook sample ID (e.g. CD-1-21); 2. the empty mass of the container (without the cap/lid), the structure of the compound (if possible), and the purity level of the compound (pure, minor impurity, etc.).

Note 2: On the outside of the cabinet on the left-hand side, are hooks that are to be used to hang group member labcoats. All labcoats must be stored here when no in use.
