Core Curriculum Requirements:
DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System--USD's Online Degree Progress System)is also a very good tool to use since it contains Core course completed, in progress and those that will fulfill that requirement.
Those planning for a business major:
Checklist for Lower Division Business Majors Note: something to keep in mind is that Accounting 201 and 202 are
sequential, so do not save both of these for second semester of your sophomore year. Take ACCT 201 first (generally in the fall semester of sophomore year), followed
by ACCT 202 in the spring semester of your sophomore year. One important exception to this is if you entered USD with lots of credit (generally more than
10 units of academic credit) as a freshman and will technically have sophomore standing (30 units, or very close to it) after completion of your first semester. In that case
you should sign up for ACCT 201 in the second semester of your 'freshman' (first) year at USD if you plan to major in business. Another important sequential consideration
is that Calculus I (MATH 150) or Survey of Calculus (MATH 130) is required before taking ECON 216 (Business Statistics). Obviously, ECON 101 and ECON 102 are
also sequential, but my advisees are all either taking or have taken ECON 101.

Major or Minor requirements:
The best thing to do is go to the Bulletins Page select the Undergraduate Bulletin and search by area to see what the major or minor
requirements are, since these do change from time to time. If there is any discrepancy, generally the undergraduate bulletin for the year in which you entered school is the
one that you will have to comply with to graduate. When in doubt, check with the USD Registrar's office.
To declare any business major click here and schedule an appointment with one of the undergraduate business advisors.
