In order for the student to become familiar with the notions of electrical current and voltage her or she should learn to measure those quantities. Nothing can be more fundamental than this from an electrical engineering point of view. So in this lab the student will be introduced to ammeters and voltmeters, to resistors, and the simplest possible electrical circuit: a single loop between battery and resistor.
