- Show that if the impedances add like vectors, then the voltages
must also add like vectors. Show this algebraically, and using phase
diagrams, that is, draw one diagram showing the impedance vectors
(phasors, as they are called), and one diagram showing the voltage
phasors.
- What about the relative phases? Look at the diagrams above. For
which circuit elements are the voltages in phase with the current? For
which are the voltages out of phase? Are the relative phases consistent
with
the memnonic, ``ELI-the-ICE man''?
